Seraphina: The Shadow's Sting
In the quietest whispers of twilight, Seraphina, the Serpent Assassin of "Guild of Heroes," emerges. She is the unseen danger, the silent blade in the dark, whose very presence is as enigmatic as it is lethal. With movements that mirror the serpent's sinuous grace, she strikes with a cold precision known only to the shadows.
Abilities at a Glance:
Venomous Strike: Seraphina's attacks carry the dual threat of blade and venom, each hit weakening her victims with a concoction of pain and poison.
Shadow Cloak: She weaves through combat with the subtlety of night itself, her Shadow Cloak rendering her nearly invisible and her steps ghostly whispers against the stone.
Constricting Coil: Like a serpent coiling its prey, Seraphina entraps her targets, her speed a blur as she delivers immobilizing strikes that continue to afflict her enemies over time.
Viper's Bite: With the precision of a viper, she delivers rapid strikes that leave her adversaries reeling from venomous wounds.
Serpentine Slash (Ultimate Ability): Her deadliest technique, the Serpentine Slash, is a flurry of cuts so swift, so precise, that foes are left with bleeding wounds that drain their life force well after the blade has passed.
Mistress of Poisons and Shadows
To choose Seraphina is to embrace the path of the silent assassin, where the line between ally and adversary is as thin as the edge of a dagger. Her domain is the darkness, and her gift is the deadly dance of an assassin's grace. In her hands, the battlefield becomes a place where the balance of life and death is held on the tip of a blade.
Become one with the shadows and let the venomous might of Seraphina guide you to silent, swift victory.
Lore
Seraphina: The second Arcan War saw many heroes and foes emerge to claim victory over the lands of Arcanterra, and even though the heroes were victorious in the end, many who fought for either side were left without a home. One such individual teetered on the edge of friend and foe, and found herself in the middle of conflicts that saw the turning of the tide in battle. Seraphina, the Serpent Assassin, rose to a great position of influence during the course of the war, aiding both sides of the fight in one way or another. A champion of combat, she climbed the ladder of power by proving herself as a skilled warrior, with the keen ability to stay as quiet and unnoticeable as a shadow in the dark. Her real skill, though, lies in her figure, or more specifically, her likeness to that of a snake, hence her title. Graced with the movement and prowess of the serpent, Seraphina is capable of utilizing a snake’s quietness and speed of strike in combat. Rumors of where she attained these powers have haunted her enemies since she was first introduced into the limelight, although the truth of the matter is masked not only by the retelling of her tales, but by scholars destroying evidence of her existing as well, for fear of retribution from the true history coming to light. Many years before the war, Seraphina lived in the kingdom of Tyrol, a small but powerful nation on the western shorelines of Arcanterra. Born to a noble family, she was always different from the rest of the girls in her circle. From the age of 10, she trained in secret to become a soldier with the help of her mentor, Alynus. One day, while out training, one of her opposing families’ squires caught her and Alynus, and reported back to the king, who made an example out of her mentor, executing him, and banishing Seraphina to the wastelands outside the kingdom. Enraged, Seraphina fled the kingdom before her banishment was made official and stumbled upon a den a few miles outside the city’s walls, where an old woman dressed in snakeskin took her in and protected her. Seraphina quickly grew fond of the woman, and over the coming months learned more about her. Eventually, the woman revealed to Seraphina that she was a witch, a caster with the ability to control snakes and harness their power. In her quest to become strong enough to get revenge on the kingdom of Tyrol, she accepted the witch’s offer to become like her, and drank a potion that gave Seraphina similar powers. From that moment on, she used her powers within the assassin’s guild in her quest to prove herself worthy and those who doubted her, mistaken.
